Mosquito Repellent Coils

During 1999-2000 Manaksia entered into a new venture for the manufacture of mosquito coils under the brand name "MORTEIN" with the support of Reckitt Benckiser (India) Ltd., a longtime business associate of the Company. The agreement with Reckitt ensures a complete buyback of the entire mosquito coil production for the next five years. 40% of the Rs. 500 crore mosquito repellent market is held by coiled products, of which Mortein mosquito coil is currently the market leader.

The Company also supplies mosquito repellant coils to Jyothy Laboratories (Maxo brand), Eveready Industries (Poweron brand), Anmol Industries (Target brand) and Dabur India Limited (Odomos brand).

Coil Stands

The mosquito coil stand is as important a product as the coil, as it provides the base to the burning coil. Made out of electrolytically coated tinplate, the product requires accurate press operation and the use of multiactivity tools for its manufacture. The product is coated with special organic chemicals to ensure resistance to corrosion, proper gloss and good finish.
